answer in numbers

She had this unmistakable resemblance to someone he knew. But it had been years and even though the thought of spending an entire journey without figuring out if they had met pinched him, he didn’t know what to do.

‘Have we met before?’ is such a cliché.

As they approached the destination, he grew desperate. There was one another way but he wasn’t sure. Would he remember it after so many years?

8-2-3-5-3-7-5-4-0-3. Her phone rang. He cut the call and switched off the phone.

He had found an answer to his question. He did not want to answer hers.

A bad memory is a good thing except when that is the only thing left!



Interviewer: Have you never felt guilty that you had to kill them?

He: I was more concerned about the lives that I could save.

Interviewer: Every soldier wants to be a hero. You have been dishonorably discharged.

He: I only care about things that I can help. This isn’t one of them.

Interviewer: What do you think about it?

She: I have been told a lot of things about my husband by people who barely know him but can see what he has done. Thankfully I am blind and hence can only go with what I know him to be.

It’s easy to judge people. Difficult to understand them. Impossible to predict them.
