the bouquet

She placed the bouquet on the table. It had twenty roses, one more than the last year.

“Is it from our secret admirer?” Ashish chuckled, “The one who sends the same bouquet every year on our anniversary.”

She smiled and nodded. If only Ashish counted the number of roses in the bouquet! There was a lot that she wished to tell him but in the last fifteen years, she had never found the right time.

“One extra rose for every year we are together,” he had told her five years before her marriage to Ashish, on the very same day.

Love does not need a relationship to express itself. Happy Valentine’s Day folks!

  1. Every time your blog post lands in my inbox, I drop everything to read it ( I am not exaggerating). Today’s post was no different except that I read it over at least a 10 times and dropped everything for next 20 mins! You have a talent which amazes me every single time. I have a request: make best use of your talent that you can in your lifetime. It would be a crime if you deprive others of it’s full potential :)
